Burenhinder: Post Human

On this collective night of clubbing on the 25th of March 2023 you stepped into a world beyond humanity and experience a night of cutting edge visuals and hard thumping beats. Club Derive has been invited by Burenhinder to provide a transformative environment at Recyclart in Brussels. Several installations where added by a number of artists in the club space that resulted in an engaging and eccentric design. One of these interactive installations consisted of twelve pillows weaved together merging into one big pillow for people to sit on. The installation was separated from the actual dance floor which gave the partygoers an opportunity to zoom out. ©

Cloud Seven: Egregore's Echoes: Momentum for New Perspectives

From the 14th of December 2023 until the 10th of January 2024, Antoine Grenez and Edouard Jattiot took over the spaces at Cloud Seven with Egregore's Echoes: Momentum for New Perspectives. The exhibition revolves around a celebration of collective joy, exploring the socio-sensual culture of partying. This living sculpture merges artist practices and guest contributions, recognizing clubbing as intangible heritage in Brussels. This exhibition turned into a club experience to highlight the vibrancy of Brussels nightlife. The pillows where placed in front of a video installation where people could lay back on the pillows and gaze into the installation. ©

Leda 2.2: A Quiet Space

A Quiet Space was a theme night organized by Leda in the afternoon of the 26th of April 2023. It was an experiment of collective isolation, in a utopian feeling of comfort accompanied by ambient DJ-sets. Modular pillows where placed in different ways providing multiple spaces where people where invited to come read, work, sleep, relax, knit, draw, think and create. They where invited to let themselves escape the loud and busy everyday life and come catch their breath. In general, they where invited to fully take in the experience of feeling safe in being alone while doing it together. ©

Burenhinder x Kuntsucht: Wintercircus

Jeugd van de Nacht is a network and platform for young people in Ghent's night culture. They were created from the shared need of young people to have space, literally and figuratively. They invited Burenhinder and Kuntsucht to curate a night life event during the opening week of a new club called Wintercircus in Ghent. A room fully devoted to function as a stimuli free area during this event was created. The happening took place on the 23th of November 2023 but the installation was to be seen the whole week while other events took place too.

Burenhinder: Aurora

On December 8th 2023, Burenhinder was hosting Explity Music in Recyclart at Brussels. The theme of this event was 'coming together'. In collaboration with Club Derive, a space was created where dialogue and coziness could take place. Designing a corner with cushions and draped fabrics that represented a cozy spot. At the center there was a light installation by Saffierblauw and Fenia Proost.
